Executive Unit for IDPs Camps Management is meeting the NRC specialist of information counseling and legal assistance.

 

The Executive Unit Head of CCCM management Mr. Mohammed Alsaedy met NRC delegation who is visiting the governorate headed by Mr. Ezzat Raji, specialist of Information Counseling and Legal Assistance, for the purpose of enhancing cooperation between each other.
The meeting concentrated on specifying a mechanism to support the camps, improving IDPs situation, evaluating current condition of camps and determining IDPs basic needs and its significance.
In addition, they mentioned the importance of fulfilling permanent improvements and emphasized the importance of having legal documents such as identity cards and birth certificates for IDPs children in coordination with related governmental agencies. What has been discussed also was the necessity of training and rehabilitating of NRC leaders of the camps in the field of protection and multi-humanitarian sectors.
The team paid a visit to the training workshop of protection committees for 37 participants selected by NRC’s CCCM, serving the purpose of improving their abilities to provide protection and support for the IDPs.
The trainings centered on the techniques of protection against violence, exploitation and discrimination. Moreover, the trainings included how to provide psychological and social support for IDPs, and legal instructions and assistance, also the importance of housing, lands and properties(HLP) which aims at enabling camp leaders to provide support and guidance for IDPs regarding their legal rights of housing, lands and properties.
Ex. U. believes that this meeting was significant for improving efforts concerning care and protection for IDPs. The suggested thoughts are expected to contribute to improve camps condition, provide the requested assistance and enhance their legal and social rights.
The meeting indicates that NRC and Ex. U. are stepping up efforts to improve protection and care for vulnerable IDPs, also to improve the lifestyle in camps.
